LMCC is an event open to all cachers with the express purpose of finding out who we all are. At past events we have had cachers from as far away as Germany, and Lab City... We really want to meet some of the other wonderful who have been putting out caches all over Labrador and down the Rte389 to Baie-Comeau.
The event will be held at lunch time from 1130 til 1400 local time at the Sodexo Mess Hall on 5 Wing Goose Bay. The menu will be a brunch style and it is pay as you go service. Prices are very reasonable, and there is usually quite a variety. If you have any concerns about food requirements, please let me know and I can make arrangements with the manager who is my neighbour.
As in the past, we will also have a large cache container(s) for everyone to pick items they may need for an upcoming cache they are planning. If you have any special items you want to display, donate, or just get rid of because you have too many, bring them along and they will be put in the pot for the prize draws. Coins and TBs are certainly welcome for trade or discovery, and there will be some new uncirculated coins will be up for grabs.
Also, if you have not completed your "7 Souvenirs of August" (http://bit.ly/7SofAHomepage), this is the chance to add that portion.
Hope to see lots of cachers there, so please forward numbers to me so I can give Sodexo the advance notice on attendees.
BTW, the meals available are breakfast (normal breakfast stuff) that is cut off at noon, and lunch which will be a choice of .... ROASTED COD CAKES or ALL-DRESSED PIZZA (this is a change since Thursday 28 Aug). More details on the prices to follow shortly. As well the Mess Hall has a Wi-Fi connection so you can log the event and any caches you may have found. For those who are visiting the area as well as home-grown cachers, this is a target-rich environment with over 25 caches within a 8km radius of the event site, and over 250 within 100km of Goose Bay. Good luck to all.
