To get the Seven Souvenirs, you need to find 6 different cache types (and you'll get a bonus 7th souvenir for getting them all):
- A Traditional cache (easy!)
- A Mystery cache (no problem!)
- A Multi cache (straightforward!)
- An Earthcache or CITO event (getting trickier, but should be OK)
- A Virtual, Letterbox, Wherigo, or Webcam (hmmm, this is tougher, but simple enough if you know where to look)
And that only leaves:
There are plenty of Events around in August, but unlike the other caches, these are only available for a short period. What if (like me) you'll be at work or away on holiday when they're on?
So I've decided to solve the problem by hosting my own event. All cachers (and other hangers on) are welcome, whether they need the souvenir or not. And if you do need the souvenir, this is probably the last chance you'll get!
Don't expect anything too fancy like a raffle or quiz. Just geochat, food, and (if you're lucky) there may be new caches going live - one of which may be a Letterbox for that other elusive souvenir!
Venue is the Tunnel Top pub in Dutton at 17.30 until 19.30 (or whenever we finish). Just in time for your Sunday tea.
