This cache is small an hidden in the Manistee National Forest. It is public land. You will need a 4 wheel drive and ORV pass to drive to this, or you can hike it. Most likely your 4 wheeler will not be able to get to the top of this hill, but you can get within 100 feet or so, then hike the rest. I recommend coming in from the west end.
This is my first hide. Small pill container and log only. Bring a pencil. We vacation in Irons quite often at my father-in-law's cabin. We like to ride our ORV's on the trails up here. Its also a great snowmobile area. There is a location that we used to go just to get cell signal. Everyone always called it the Top of the Rock because it was a huge hill and there is a big rock at the top. It's a beautiful area. If you can make it with an ORV...great! The ORV will get you most of the way up the hill anyway. You may have to walk the last 100 feet or so. There is a nice memorial and a picnic table here to take a rest, Hope you enjoy the find!
