The Trail Less Traveled in HBSP Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Danvers Duo: After a great run on this cache and it's neighboring Letterbox, we have to archive them both due to park regulations. It seems that the trees in this area (specifically the primitive camp ground area) are in poor health, and the State Park personnel have deemed the area unsafe, and have blocked access to the trail. So instead of this being "The Trail Less Traveled", it will now be "The Trail Never To Be Traveled Again" Sorry for any inconvenience, but the Park officials have requested that we archive this immediately, so PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS ONE ANY MORE, THERE IS NO CONTAINER AT THIS SITE.

Geocache Description:

The cache container is an ammo can chained to a tree. Only a short bushwack is required. Please stay on the trails on the way to the cache to prevent damage to surrounding vegetation. Please replace and re-cover as found.

Huntington Beach State Park is one of our favorite spots to visit. Here you have access to a beautiful beach for swimming, shelling or just walking. There are numerous hiking trails to explore along with the interesting architecture of Atalaya, the summer home of the Huntingtons.

Over the years there have been numerous caches placed in this park, but most of them have been archived, so we decided to replace some of these archived caches. In addition there are 6 other caches in this park, one is a virtual (GC22A8), one is an Earthcache (GC1DZD6), and one is a traditional (GC38KFW-this is the one needed for the SC State Park Challenge) We have also placed a Letterbox (GC5Q7BJ), a Multi (GC5Q76D), a traditional (GC5Q1FN), and a puzzle (GC5Q6RE), this would allow you to get six different icons and 4 different size containers if you found them all.

Please be aware that there is an admission fee to the State Park, of $8.00 per person ($5.00 for SC Seniors) .You can also buy a State Park pass which entitles you to admission to all SC state Parks, for $99.00, but if you are a resident of SC and over 65 you can get it for only $49.50.

Congrats to volfan2011 for the FTF
