Geocache Description:

4077th

M*A*S*H was a situation comedy about a United States Army Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH) in the Korean War (1950–1953). The series premiered in the U.S. on September 17, 1972, and ended February 28, 1983. The show had a wide range of characters which included: Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce, Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan, Maxwell Q. Klinger, John Francis Xavier "Trapper John" McIntyre, Franklin Marion "Frank" Burns and Walter Eugene "Radar" O’Reilly (just to name a few).

When the show finally aired on February 28, 1983, it became the most watched television episode in U.S. television history at the time, with a record-breaking 125 million viewers. The show even had a spin off show called Trapper John M.D. which focus on his life, twenty-eight years after his discharge from the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (M.A.S.H.) in the Korean War.
