Porto Azurro: Museo Mineralico (Elba)
Elba is the island of the minerals. It also has a small but very nice museum where you can visite a (copy of a) mine in a small train. The museum has an entrance fee, but if you do not want to buy a ticket, you can visit the shop above the museum for free. Here you can see lots of lovely jewellery made of minerals and some really nice fossils. It was not easy for us to find the museum, because according to some websites it was locates at the other part of the island, in Capoliveri. Well, there was a museum there, but it was the museum of the sea … So now you know where to find it ;-) .
The cache
The cache is located outside the museum so you do not have to buy a ticket to find it. Look for a green waterproof container.
Though it can be really quiet here, there are also moments there are muggles around (in the water). So use stealth when needed…
