Geocache Description:

" When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore. " I have always been fascinated by a full moon.  So .. in honor of the grand 'ole Man in the Moon I have begun a series of caches that I will call The Many Moons.  A new Full Moon cache will be hidden each month near the time of a full moon.  Each cache will bear the Native American name of the full moon for the month that the cache is hidden.

The 2nd hide of the Many Moons series is August.  ... The Green Corn Moon.  Many Native American tribes called this full moon the Green Corn Moon because their planted corn fields were tall, thick, and green with rows and rows of cornstalks. In the Great Lakes area of the USA this moon was also called the Sturgeon Moon because this variety of fish was easily caught this month.  You're looking for the Man in the Moon ... a small cache with room for a log only. There's ample parking nearby.  Bring a scribble stick.
