Geocache Description:

Meallach’s Chambered Cairn

This cache is a 500 ml cliplock container with logbook, pen and room for swaps and trackables.

This is a very popular area for walking with a variety of routes. There is also a cycle way so it is possible to cycle part of the way to the cache. Arran Industries Cloth cache is close by the park area. Beside the Car Park there is grassy area with picnic benches. The return walk to the cache is about 2 miles. The first part of the track is through a wooded area on the Urie Loch path with the option to go to the Meallach’s Cairn. The second part of the path is in an area where the trees have been cleared allowing the elevated views to be seen.
