A walk along part of the North Devon coast path leads to this cache.
This cache is ideal for those who prefer a slightly longer walk than usual. A complete circuit of Morte Point should take no more than two hours, including time looking for the cache. It is in a very exposed part of the coast so be careful if the weather is not good. Unlike many caches I can guarantee a good GPS signal with absolutely no tree cover!
Ideally park in the Heritage Centre car park in Mortehoe at N 51°11.138', W 4°12.484' then walk across the street down the road next to the Post Office. After a couple of hundred yards turn left down a small track which is signposted to the coast path. Head for the coast and just keep walking with the sea on your right side. The cache is hidden just before the very end of the point. Keep a look out in the sea as you walk round the coast as we saw a sea lion the day we planted the cache.
Once you have found it keep walking round the point to enjoy spectacular views of Woolacombe beach in the distance. Keep going until you reach the road back into the village of Mortehoe.
The cache is in a small locktop box.
