A State Star Geoart is being planned for each of the 50 states here in the US.
Here is your chance to lay claim on ours. Answers to the Virginia trivia questions are in the CACHE LISTINGS for #001 or #050 description to get your coordinates to each of the other caches. A question and multiple choice answers are on each cache page. Once you find all 50 caches in the series, you will have a HUGE star comprised of smiley faces on your caching map!
The Virginia State Star is located in beautiful, rural Pittsylvania County on the Ringgold Rail Trail where the old Richmond & Danville Railway ran. You'll pass through wooded areas, through wetlands and over a five arch stone bridge, all on a finely graveled walking/biking path.
Find the answer to this Virginia trivia question in the description of the CACHE LISTINGS for #001 or #050 The coordinates corresponding to the answer you choose are used to find your hidden smiley.

b) Maryland & North Carolina - N36 36.815 W79 14.884

d) North Carolina & West Virginia - N36 36.815 W79 14.882
This particular cache needed more than the short pasted description. A great cacher nearby placed this cache on the rail trail. After he returned to the job force recently, he archived all of the ones he owned. If not for that reason, you'd be bushwhacking through bug land today instead of traveling on a nice trail. The space on this rail trail was up for grabs and I decided to use it for the Star.
He called this cache Rabbit Gum, GC36B1M, and depending on your age you may call it by another name. I placed it in the way it's normally used. If it's closed when you get there, open it with care, you may have to evict a critter or something. I know Keith will be very happy to see cachers are still enjoying his handywork.
GOOD LUCK & HAPPY CACHING!
