Geocache Description:

This Geocache tells people about not feeding animals with out the owners consent as they may have medical problems. You will see Paddy and Izzi. Izzi is a horse at 15.2 hands and is 37 years old (very good age for a horse). Paddy is a pony at 14.1 hands and 23 years old. He is the one with the medical problem and the reason why I am doing this cache here. The Second stage is where we have a rest on the evening walk before heading up the hill for home.

Seeing the Pony in the field is why this cache is situated here. As Paddy the horse has diabetes (well the horse version) and has a rescricted diet. That is why he is in his paddock, or wearing a muzzle. A muzzle prevents him from eating to much grass which contains a lot of sugar and can cause him a lot of pain when he goes lame due to his diabetes. Inside his paddock is wood chip which means he is unable to eat grass. He does have two hay nets inside his shelter. The hay in these nets is different from normal hay as it low in sugar due to it being soaked in water. He goes out for ride once a day with Izzi. It is important so that he can lose the weight that will help him from having a bad episode with his diabetes, however due to his breed it is hard for him to loose weight. Izzi has a simlar problem loosing weight due to her breed but it is also her age. Izzi has not a medical problem, and could be one of the oldest ridden horse on the Isle of Man. Though on the walk out every night she may not be ridden every night due to to her age, but she will have a walk though. WELL DONE TO THE Caaghyr's Crew FOR THE FIRST TO FIND :) :)
