While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

Geocaches which have not been maintained or the owner has not responded will not be taken out of the archive

Geocache Description:


Odalstunet er et lokalt museum for Nord-Odal og Sør-Odal. Her er det samlet eldre hus fra ulike kanter av disse bygdene. Noen av dem er svært gamle, fra midt på 1700-tallet, andre er noe nyere.


Det første du møter når du kommer hit, er et storgardstun med de viktigste bygningene som hørte til der. Lenger inne i området finner du husmannsplassen og noen spesielle hus som hadde viktige funksjoner i det gamle jordbrukersamfunnet: smia og kjona.

Til Odalstunet er også det gamle kornmagasinet som sto ved Strøm kirke, flyttet. Tunet har dessuten fått i gave utstyr og redskap som var i bruk i gamle dager.
