The Troll Trail project at Burrs Country Park is a series of 6 wooden sculptures. The trolls (some with two heads!) can be found in the wooded area between the canal and river. The pupils made clay models with the Artist and Bury Council's Rangers. Each class then spent a day at Burrs in "hands on" sessions to carve the wooden sculptures. My sons primary school helped to design the troll next to this cache.
Close by there is also Burrs Dipping Pond containing a varity of pond life, so bring your net!
Lovely area, free to park, lots of walks and along side the caravan park runs the East Lancs Railway, great for steam train enthusiasts. There is a children's activitiy centre offering canoeing, archery, wall climbing etc and a free kids mini assault course. Great area for dog walking.

The walk from Burrs past the weir to Summerseat is lovely though the path isn't buggy/wheelchair friendly. Lots of other caches along the way.
The cache is only small and only contains a log sheet bring your own pencil
