There are many variations of the saying "Mind your Ps and Qs".
One origin of the story of "Mind your Ps and Qs" comes from early printing presses. Printers placed individual letters on a frame to print a page of text. The letters were reversed, making it easy to mistake lowercase ps and qs in setting the type and were fined for every spelling mistake, hence the personal financial importance of accuracy. A reminder to stay watchful of the details could have come from this time as well. In a similar setting, this expression has been attributed as an adage for teaching children to spell.
If you take the time to stamp the log book, you will notice on these particular stamps the stamping letters are reversed from the printing letters. This makes this letterbox all the more unique since these stamps are backwards.
Letterboxing is another form of treasure hunting that uses clues instead of coordinates. In some cases, the letterbox owner has made their container both a letterbox and a geocache and posted its coordinates on Geocaching.com. The stamp and stamp pad inside the Letterbox Hybrid are not items intended for trade. The stamp and pad are meant to remain in the box so that visitors can use them to record their visit.
Geocaching is a fun hobby in which many find enjoyment. Hope you have as much enjoyment in finding caches as we do in hiding and finding others. Part of that enjoyment is reading the logs you write on your posts. Thank you for your logs.
