Geocache Description:

This Japanese interment camp was used from 1943 to July 1945

Camp held 265 male "enemy aliens" who were paid $55.00 a month plus room and board for construction on highway 12. There were 2 doctors and 25 caucasian employees as staff and guards.

A 300 page book "IMPRISONED IN PARADISE" by Priscilla Wegars gives a very good history and pictures of this camp.
