Geocache Description:

Allenton Community Park

This is the former site of Allenton Elementary School.  This school was replaced years ago with the opening of East Robeson just a few miles from here.  The only thing that remains of the original school is the gym.  The gym remained open for many years after the schools closing and was available for public use.  The gym is now in disarray and crumbling.  The park now consists of two ball fields and a small play area for kids.
