I love cemeteries, and I drive by this one on my way to work almost daily. I checked for a cache, and was surprised that no one had placed one here. I decided to remedy that. Near this location was the Polk County Insane Asylum, which housed its own cemetery. Unclaimed deceased residents from the Polk County Insane Asylum, Polk County Poor Farm and the Polk County Work Farm were buried in their small cemetery until 1928. In 1971, when East 14th street was widened, about 70 bodies were relocated to the Pine Hill Cemerery.
