Geocache Description:

Saturday October 4th @ 11:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.

This event occurs in a privately owned woodland area southeast of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada on beautiful St. Joseph Island.  Follow Highway 17 east to Highway 548 and continue south onto St. Joseph Island to the Tenby Bay area.  The venue is located just north of the corner of the U-Line and the Fifth Side Road. This is a 1+ hour drive from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Please arrive at 11:00 A.M. EDST for a lunchtime Meet n Greet until 12:00 Noon.  For those interested in getting lots of fresh air and exercise there is a woodland "geo-walk" after the meet - greet - lunch that should take about four hours.

Regroup at the parking area at 4:00 P.M.

Leave the event area by 5:00 P.M. or earlier if you have completed the "geo-walk".

This is a beautiful location for insect-weary geocachers to gather for a picnic lunch amidst many acres of gardens and hardwood forest trails.

Bring your lunch as well as geocaching stories and trackables to share with other keen cachers celebrating the demise of the mosquito hoard.

While in the woodland garden portion of the property please be especially careful to stay on the established paths and trails as the botanical garden contains many species of flora and fauna that could easily be damaged.

Pets are NOT permitted on the property and children should be closely supervised.

Bring your bush boots, long sleeves and long pants for protection against wet ground as well as scrapes and bruises.

There are 2 outhouses on the property, but these may be a long hike from most of the walking trails, so come prepared to rough it.

Cell phone coverage at this time is limited to a weak signal from the recently installed Bell / Virgin Mobile towers. No other service providers currently have coverage in the vicinity of the event.

Please log your intention to attend this celebration of hopefully bug-less geocaching :)
