Geocache Description:


This cache, fourth in series 'The Fortress of Mytilene', is placed in a more easy to access area than the previous three.
The place is called 'Tsamakia' and derives from the Mytilenian dialect meaning 'small pine trees'.
When the refuges come on the island after the population exchange between Greece and Turkey many people used the remnants of the castle, and the war spoils of wood and metal, to build in this land a lot of wooden sacks and 'houses'. Some of them were used as coffee and refreshment shops until demolished by the authorities at late sixty's.
Now is often used from youngster citizens for what should a youngster do, and sometimes is the place for the day jaunt of local schools when the spring days start to call for it.
Across from the stash is the pay beach with the same name, so if you get hot looking for it, you can have a dip in the clear waters or have a drink.
No spoiler pics this time but it won't be hard to find it somewhere amongst the rocks.
The stash consists of a small glass jar with log book and pencil.
