Overview
Eagles rock in Glenade, County Leitrim is Irelands Highest free standing tower, it's summit is 330 metres above sea level and can be viewed from many miles in many directions.
The Route
Due to recent revelations in access restrictions, this cache can only be legitimately accessed from the top of the mountain, however you must determine your own route with extreme caution. Terrain rating has been upgraded to 4 to reflect this. You can proceed along the track from the car park to the trail Caches 1 & 2 without issue. However if you cross the fence at the top of the track to traverse to the bottom of the gulley, you do so at your own risk of being challenged.
The Cache
This cache is a small tab-lock container with room for some trackables. GPS coverage in this gorge is almost impossible to tie down, so please look at the spoiler pic showing that the cache is located in a crack on the side of the stack inside the gap.
