Description
Here's your opportunity to do some caching and trashing at the same time. While you're walking off pancakes or working up an appetite, pitch in and help your community. Just like the acronym says, the concept for this CITO is to cache-in, trash-out. Pick up a little, or lot, of trash while sampling the local caching scene. The Picnic Committee knows that several hundred pairs of sharp eyes can make a noticeable contribution to cleaning up area parks, public spaces, and cache sites. Participating in this CITO event earns you a new Geocaching souvenir, too!
When and Where to Meet?
Meet at the coordinates given on this cache page starting at 10 a.m. Bring your own gloves. You may pick up your bag, sign the logbook, get your assignment, and depart for your planned activities. Bags and the logbook will be available until 11 a.m.
When and Where to CITO?
You are encouraged to CITO throughout the day. You're not limited to the hours of 10 to 11 a.m.
If you sign the logbook, you're on your honor to spend some of your time picking up trash along the way. Once you've trashed to your heart's content, dispose of the bag in a suitable trash receptacle. There's no need to return your full bag to the start point. To help document our collective effort, please post a photo of your bag along with you (or your group) with your log (optional).
(Optional) Post a photo of you and your trash bag once you've completed your mission.
