The spring and early summer of 2014 brought with it torrential downpours to the area. The subsequent flooding and washouts caused some of the damage in the low-lying areas of Rock Creek park just like you see here. We assume this is permanent reconstruction although clearly they have more work to do. Hopefully we won't need to move the cache but we'll deal with that if we have to.
We've suggested some nearby parking but it is on a narrow service road so parking is tight. You can also park at the shopping center and cross Norbeck on foot. Feel free to utilize other parking areas as this cache is within reach of various trailheads and parking. This is a great path for riding your bike so consider that option as well. Do be aware of other bikers as you seek the cache as they fly through here at times.
Cache is of an undisclosed size but it contains a log only with no room for trade items or a pen. Please replace carefully and as you found it.
