Geocache Description:

This is a small cache located just off the trail in a neighborhood park.  It replaces a muggled cache, but is located far enough away to be a new cache.

This cache is being placed to commemorate and celebrate the life of a special lady, who was taken from us too soon at the age of 30.  Monica's life was defined by her caring personality and service to others.  A thoughtful and dedicated teacher, she began her teaching career locally at Eagle River Christian School.  While she lived in Alaska only a few years, she came to love the state and especially enjoyed spending time at Earthquake Park, Flattop and Thunderbird Falls.  We encourage everyone to be kind and cherish one another, because you never know when your time together will be cut short.

Starting contents in the original cache included:

"Mama, I'm Coming Home" travel bug

picture of Monica and her son, Jude

bracelets Monica's students made after she passed away to be sold to fund a scholarship in her name

quarters from some of the states she passed through when she returned to Tennessee from Alaska

a few geocaching chips
