3rd Scout Law Mystery Cache

The Scout Law contains the rules which applies to Scouts all over the world who has promised to obey it when they enroll themselves as a Scout.

The Third Scout Law is "A Scout's duty is to be useful and to help others." This means that a Scout must be prepared at any time to help others and to do his duty before anything else, eventhough he gives up his own pleasure, comfort or safety to do it. A Scout must try to do at least 1 good turn daily to someone.

This cache brings you to Brickfields where it is known as Kuala Lumpur's Little India due to high percentage of Indian residents and businesses there. There are a number of interesting attractions to visit here such as the century old Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) and Vivekananda Ashramam at Jalan Tun Sambanthan, Malaysian Association for the Blind at Jalan Tebing and Temple of Fine Arts at Jalan Berhala. Brickfields is also tagged as a "Divine Location" as there are many religious structures located there. Among the famous structures are Buddhist Maha Vihara Temple, Arulmigu Sree Veera Hanuman Temple and Sri Sakthi Karpaga Vinayagar Temple at Jalan Berhala, Holy Rosary Church, Our Lady of Fatima, Zion Lutheran Church and Madrasatul Gouthiyyah small mosque at Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad, Three Teachings Chinese Temple at Jalan Thambillay and St. Mary's Orthodox Syrian Cathedral at Jalan Tum Sambanthan Satu.

The posted coordinates brings you to the center of Brickfields where a beautiful fountain is located. You will need to find out information about the fountain to identify the final coordinates. The coordinates where the actual cache is hidden are:

To solve the puzzle, you will need to obtain the following information from the fountain.

A = Total number of swans in the 2 upper bowls of the fountain.

B = Total number of matured elephants carrying the upper tiers of the fountain.

C = Total number of colours of the floor surrounding the fountain which is embedded with crystals.

X = Total number of Dance Sculptures on the islands opposite the fountain.

Y = Number of young elephants on the perimeter of the pool

Z = Add 1 to the height of the oil lamp in feet.

The cache is a tiny black container which contains only a logbook (no space for TBs or GCs). Remember to BYOP to sign the logbook.

Note:

a) To get here, you may get on to the Kuala Lumpur Hop-on Hop-off bus and alight at Bus Stop number 10. Alternatively, you may take the KTM Komuter, Kelana Jaya LRT or KL Monorail to the KL Sentral station.

b) There may be a lot of muggles around during Indian festive season, lunch hours between 12pm to 2pm and in the evening between 5.30pm to 7.00pm on week days. Stealth maybe required during those times.

c) Approval has been obtained at the final location of the cache. The landowner has been notified about the location of the cache.

d) You may want to do some good deeds while geocaching and travelling around this location. There are a number of pedestrians whom you can offer your assistance.
