This cache is located off Hwy 385 going near Hill City. We drove by the cache area & parked at the gate by FS 738. Appraching the cache from this direction prevents you from walking through a lot of poison ivy. If you choose to park near the entrance of the road, do not take the easiet route. That will take you into the poison ivy area.
I love getting great views of the Black Hills just by taking a short hike. Wow! That is what we thought when we found this view! There must be a cache here so others will see it too. I wonder if we can see Harney Peak from here but I am not sure. I bet someone else knows how to name the mountains better! I just love taking the views in and enjoying the area in which I choose to live in! Happy Caching to You!
