ITA: La chiesa dei Santi Martiri Giorgio e Caterina dei Genovesi è una chiesa parrocchiale di Cagliari. L'edificio si trova vicino al parco di Monte Urpinu.
Una prima chiesa dedicata ai santi Giorgio e Caterina sorse a Cagliari alla fine del XVI secolo, essa era sede dell'arciconfraternita dei santi martiri Giorgio e Caterina dei Genovesi. La confraternita venne costituita nel 1587 dall'arcivescovo Francesco del Val ed eretta in arciconfraternita nel 1591 da papa Gregorio XIV. Inizialmente l'associazione aveva la sua sede presso una cappella della chiesa del convento di Santa Maria di Gesù. Per statuto i membri della confraternita dovevano avere origini liguri. La costruzione della nuova sede iniziò nel 1599, con la posa della prima pietra da parte dell'arcivescovo Alonso Lasso Çedeño, ed essa fu completata nel corso del XVII secolo. Essa sorgeva però in Sa Costa (attuale via Manno), nel quartiere Marina, ma durante i bombardamenti della Seconda Guerra Mondiale, il 13 Maggio del 1943, la chiesa venne distrutta e quindi ricostruita nella sede attuale. Il progetto definitivo, nella zona di Monte Urpinu, venne ideato da Marco Piloni e Francesco Giachetti nel 1957.La scalinata fu realizzata nel 2001.

The first church dedicated to St. George and St. Catherine was built in Cagliari at the end of the sixteenth century, as the seat of '"confraternity of the holy martyrs and Catherine Giorgio dei Genovesi." The Brotherhood, linked to the history of the thriving community of Genoa Cagliari, was founded in 1587 by Archbishop Francesco del Val and erected in confraternity in 1591 by Pope Gregory XIV. Initially, the association had its headquarters at a chapel in the church of the convent of Santa Maria de Jesus. Statute members of the brotherhood were to have Ligurian origins. The construction began in 1599, with the laying of the foundation stone by Archbishop Alonso Lasso Cedeno, and it was completed during the seventeenth century. It stood, however, in Sa Costa (now Via Manno), in the Marina district, but during the World War II, the 13th May 1943, the church was destroyed and then rebuilt in its present location. The final project in the area of Monte Urpinu, was designed by Francesco and Marco Pylons Giachetti in 1957. The staircase was built in 2001.

La construction du nouveau siège a commencé en 1599, avec la pose de la première pierre par l'archevêque Alonso Cedeno Lasso, et il a été achevé au cours du XVIIe siècle. Mais il se tenait dans Sa Costa (aujourd'hui Via Manno), dans le quartier de la Marina, mais pendant les bombardements de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, le 13 mai 1943, l'église a été détruit puis reconstruit à son emplacement actuel. Le projet final, dans la région de Monte Urpinu, a été créé par Marco et Francesco Giachetti Pylônes en 1957.La escalier a été construit en 2001. </ P>
