Geocache Description:

This is another in the series of caches to introduce you to some of the cemeteries in Grey County similar to those started in Bruce, Oxford, Perth and Lambton counties. Anyone wanting to add one in other regions of Grey County, please do so, just enter " G.C.C. Series - " and the name of their cache.

These caches will take you to some large and some small cemeteries to focus on the history, family and friends who have gone before us.

Please, always be respectful in these areas. This is a non-active cemetery, so please have respect and absolutely NO NIGHT CACHING PLEASE!!

The cache is big enough for a log only, so bring your own writing instrument.

This cemetery is found just north of where the Knox Presbyterian Church was. Their cemetery is on a fine, well kept lot. It used to be called the Zion Cemetery. The Knox Presbyterian Church is gone but what remains is a cement pad in the shape of a cross with almost every stone in German. Surnames of those buried there are: Maer, Dorr, Brand, Roeder, Hartman, Schultz, Weisz, Goll, Gonder, Becker, Seim, Gremm, Eisenbach, Demmerling, Schul, Eiffert, Millar, Fischer, Ebrenau, Glasser, Weis, Hahn, Keller, Goll, Nuhn, Schierholz, Weidenhammer, Feik, Loos, Knoblauch, and Kraft. -- That is all the info I can find out about it.

This cache has been placed by a Mid Western Ontario Geocacher!

Congrats to " Rye & Ginger " for the FTF !!!
