Geocache Description:

This quick and easy in-field puzzle cache was created in honor of Allen Crowley. One of the Myakka River State Parks first superintendents, and bird lover. The birdwalk located here is dedicated to him,

This is only a small cache with log only, bring a pen and be careful replacing it.

In recognition of Allen Crowley's love of birds!

We heard that from this location he would look to the North to see some of his favorites, like the Great Blue Heron, Blue-winged Teal, and the Sandhill Crane. As well as the Great Egret, American Coot and the Tri-colored Heron.

He would also look to the West and to see his favored birds there too, including the American Coot and Great Blue Heron. The Sandhill Cranes would fly by here and look like prehistoric creatures. Sometimes a Tri-colored Heron would be seen looking for lunch with a Lesser YellowLegs not far away.

I am sure he spent endless hours watching the birds here, and you can too, or you can watch for them as you go for the cache nearby.

Good luck and enjoy the view and the birds!
