You will understand the NAME of the cache when you see where it is located.
This is another of my favorite 'road songs' by one of my favorite Canadian musical groups, THE GUESS WHO. Traveling from Saskatoon to Carrot River and points in between over the last number of years, I found it pitiful that there were so few geocaches placed along the way. I've tried to remedy this by putting out some 'road song' caches....I don't live near this cache but I do travel back and forth frequently enough to do maintenance on my caches as required, IF I am alerted to maintenance needs. Feel free to let me know! Or perform a bit of maintenance if you can.....I would appreciate the help.
"STAR BABY" was a 1974 hit by The Guess Who; it was written by Burton Cummings who also provided the lead vocals. It reached #39 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and in Canada it spent three weeks at #9. The song is ranked as the 92nd biggest Canadian hit of 1974. (Source: Wikipedia) I've seen Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman in concert and highly recommend the experience to everyone with any taste in music
!
It's a fun little song that is perfect for cranking up while out cruising down the highways....
"Well I never been much for admitting things
That's why it's all so hard to say
That I'm head over heels in love with your kind of insanity
And if it please your Highness on a sunny day sometime
Can I take your picture in the park with silk and satin on?
Star Baby, flashy little shiny little two-timin' mama
Star Baby, shiny little flashy little lovin' machine.....
Well I saw you last night on a Hollywood show
And now it's easy for me to say
That I'm head over heels shook up about the way that you fool with me
And if it please your Highness on a sunny day sometime
Can you take me ridin' babe, I'll tell you what I'm thinkin' 'bout you..."
