When we came across this area it looked very insignificant and the amount of urban rubbish around was very off putting. Upon closer inspection we noticed it was a hidden gem with even a few grey Kangaroos. Geomum was stoked to find that this insignificant bush lot was home to a lot of significant plants, there is a very high concentration of several native terrestrial orchids. In particular "Greenhoods" Pterostylis sp. This struck a cord with Geomum because as a child she spent a lot of time with her Mum and Grandpa looking for ground orchids across Victoria. After consultation with the local council we decided to place a cache here.
PLEASE BE MINDFUL AND TREAD LIGHLY
Currently there are no homes built in the area and the area is very quiet as time goes by this could become a very busy place, it will be interesting to see photos as time goes by.
We hope you find something pretty to look at on your visit, we attached a picture of some of the things we saw recently.
*****CURRENTLY THERE IS A SWOOPING MAGPIE AT GZ*****
Geomum and Geochildren were not deterred but we know some people have Ornithophobia so we felt we should note that down. **** A crash helmet with cable ties sticking up should do the job! ****
Cache lid is fragile please be careful and replace it as you found it
