Welcome to Fabulous Partschins

Partschins ist eine Gemeinde in Südtirol/Italien ca. 8 km von der Kurstadt Meran entfernt, mit ca. 3600 Einwohnern. Sie liegt geografisch im Vinschgau, unweit von Meran am Fuße der Texelgruppe. Politisch ist die Gemeinde jedoch der Bezirksgemeinschaft Burggrafenamt zugehörig. Wirtschaftlich bedeutsam sind vor allem Tourismus und Obstanbau (Äpfel).Zu Partschins gehören auch die Fraktionen Rabland und die Töll. Partschins ist eine Ortschaft mit einem der größten Höhenunterschiede im Vinschgau: das Gemeindegebiet erstreckt sich vom im Tal gelegenen Rabland (525m) bis zum Roteck (3337m) in der Texelgruppe.

Zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten von Partschins gehören das Modelleisenbahnmuseum in Rabland mit einem nahe gelegenen römischen Meilenstein, das Bad Egart auf der Töll, ein historisches Heilbad aus vergangenen Zeiten, die Pfarrkirche St. Peter und Paul, die St. Helena Kirche auf der Töll, die Stachelburg sowie der Ansitz Spauregg, der Ansitz Gaudententurm, das Wohnhaus des Erfinders der Schreibmaschine Peter Mitterhofer, das Schreibmaschinenmuseum sowie die Ziegelbrücke und das Schleusenhäuschen auf der Töll. Zu den größten Sehenswürdigkeiten zählt jedoch der fast 100Meter hohe Wasserfall von Partschins am Eingang des Zieltals.

Der Cache ist der Ausgangspunkt für viele weitere Caches in der Gemeinde. Darunter findet ihr auch eine kürzlich veröffentliche Tour mit insgesamt 16 Caches. Ich wünsche euch viel Spass auf dem Weg durch die Gemeinde.


Parcines è un comune in Alto Adige / Italia circa 8 km dalla città termale di Merano, con circa 3600 abitanti. Geograficamente si trova in Val Venosta, nei pressi di Merano, ai piedi del Gruppo di Tessa. Politicamente, il comune fa però parte del Burgraviato. Economicamente significative sono principalmente il turismo e frutticoltura (mele) .Parcines comprende le frazioni di Rablà e Toell. Parcines è paese con una delle più grandi differenze di altitudine in Val Venosta: il territorio comunale si estende dalla valle a Rablà (525m) a Roteck (3337m) nel Gruppo di Tessa.

Ci sono vari attrazioni nel comune tra di cui il Museo di modellismo ferroviario in Rablà con una vicina pietra miliare romana, il Bad Egart sulla Toell, una vasca storica del passato, la chiesa parrocchiale di San Pietro e Paolo, la chiesa di Sant'Elena sul Toell, la Stachelburg e la pelle sollevata Spauregg, la pelle sollevata Gaudententurm, la casa del inventore della macchina da scrivere Peter Mitterhofer, il museo della macchina da scrivere e il ponte in mattoni e la casetta serratura della Toell. Una delle principali però a la cascata di Parcines con un`altezza di in ca. 100 metri all'ingresso del cosi chiamato Zieltal.

Il cache è il punto di partenza per molti altri cache nella comunità. Tra di cui anche una bella passaggiata appena pubblicata con in tutto 16 cache. Vi auguro un buon divertimento nel comune.

Partschins is a municipality in South Tyrol / Italy at about 8 km from the spa town of Merano, with about 3600 inhabitants. Partschins is geographically located in the Vinschgau, near Meran at the foot of the Texel Group. Politically, the municipality, however belongs to the district of the Burggrafenamt. Economically significant are mainly tourism and fruit growing (apples) .Among Partschins includes the fractions Rabland and Toell. Partschins is a town with one of the biggest differences in altitude in Vinschgau: the municipal area extends from Rabland (525m) to Roteck (3337m) in the Texel Group.

Partschins includes a lot of attractions. This are for example the model railway museum in Rabland with a nearby Roman milestone, the Bad Egart on the Toell, a historic spa from the past, the parish church of St. Peter and Paul, the St. Helena church on the Toell, the Stachelburg and the raised hide Spauregg, the raised hide Gaudententurm, the home of the inventor of the typewriter Peter Mitterhofer, the typewriter museum and the brick bridge and the lock cottage on the Toell. One of the biggest attractions, however, is the nearly 100meter high waterfall of Partschins at the entrance of the Zieltal.

The cache is the starting point for many other caches in the community. There you will find also a nice, just recently published tour with a total of 16 caches.I wish you a lot of fun on the way through the community.
