City of Murals: Bonus #1

Though Delta, CO enjoys a number of wonderful murals on the sides of buildings, commissioned by the city, there are also a few non-traditional “murals”.  Some are painted on buildings, but some are not.  Some have been commissioned by private citizens or businesses, some a group project, and of some we haven’t discovered the story, yet…if you know, let us in on it!

The given coordinates are for the non-traditional Delta “mural” where you will find the information needed to solve the mystery coordinates to the second stage which contains the log. Note the symbolism of the artwork as it relates to the name of the establishment on which it is painted!

To compute the N coordinate:

Divide the number of silhouetted trees by 1000, subtract the quotient from the given N coordinate, then add .006 to the difference.

To compute the W coordinate:

Using the following code to replace each letter of the artist’s five letter name will give you the W coordinate: 108  _ _._ _ _

A=2, B=0, C=5, D=6, E=3, Q=7, R=4, S=8, T=9, U=1.
