Sonoran Summer Geocaching: Collector 4 (Letterbox) Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

Alchemeer: I can't understand why geocachers won't read the description before beginning their hunt, especially for a letterbox hybrid, which is a cache type that is known for not being at the posted coordinates. That's the very nature of a traditional letterbox. Finding this letterbox does not require climbing on or screwing around on someone's property. Yes, it's located near property, but it's on the side of a public road and can be accessed without disturbing a landowner's property.

It's unfortunate that I'll have to archive this cache because some individuals elect to be careless, but that's the way it is, I suppose. I won't be taking responsibility for the archival with respect to the geocaching community. If the property owner reads this, and needs to communicate additionally, I would be happy to make amends and take responsibility on behalf of some individuals who choose to be reckless. But if some individuals were indeed climbing someone's fence or messing around with someone's property because they were looking for a geocache, they should consider getting a new hobby, and they should realize that this cache is now archived because of their behavior.

Geocache Description:

THIS LETTERBOX HYBRID IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES (SEE BELOW FOR DIRECTIONS)! PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE STAMP! IT IS NOT A TRADE-ABLE ITEM!

It's that time of year to once again get out and get your cache on! This geocache is part of Groundspeak's 7 Souvenirs of August promotional. When you find at least one Traditional cache; one Multi-Cache; one Mystery cache; one Virtual, Wherigo, Webcam, or Letterbox Hybrid cache; attend a CITO event or find an EarthCache; and attend an Event cache, Mega-Event, or Giga-Event, you receive a unique virtual souvenir for your geocaching profile. If you find all six souvenirs, you unlock a special seventh souvenir for your profile. See the Related Web Page for more information.

Just like last year, most of those who have lived in Yuma for a little while maybe a bit cached out... Especially if you've found anything that's non-traditional. It's one thing to seek a traditional cache, but how often are you able to find a Wherigo or Multi-Cache? Not only that, but it's hot outside. Like, stupidly hot. Like, surface of the Sun hot. Like... well, you get the idea. So what better way to earn your souvenirs than to have new and easy opportunities to do so? This is the Sonoran Summer Geocaching series. The aim of this series is to give us Yumans the opportunity to find traditional and non-traditional caches alike without putting up with the oppressive pizza oven we call the atmosphere for too long.

To find this simple letterbox hybrid, go to the posted coordinates. Once there, look west for the wooden structure. You'll have to look under it. When you see stacked rocks, you're right where you need to be. The geocache is hiding amongst these rocks.
