Pioneer Dwelling2 Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This roadside cache is a small 90mm pipe container, containing pad, pencil and small swaps close to a Pioneer’s Original Dwelling.
The Pioneer dwelling (across the fence) was the first original home of the Rosenzweig forbears who came to Australia from Germany in 1850
WARNING WARNING WARNING
At the site not far from GZ are fresh diggings about 700cm in diameter Keep well clear of this spot.
There is NO cache hidden there but it’s the home of a nest of inch ants also known as jack jumping ants (20mm to 30mm) in length (look it up on the net)
These ants sting with their tail like a wasp and the sting is nothing short of excruciatingly painful (4-6 times worse than a bee).
A sting from 1 ant can leave you in extreme pain for as much as 2 weeks, and this is a nest of many.
(One stung Mrs Grandee and it took her 3 months to get over it, a light touch to the sting site would bring the pain back in its extreme)
The ANT Threat is REAL
Please be careful
Your looking for a 90mm pipe cache with a log book and a few swaps please bring your own scribble stick
Please screw the lid on firmly an return to the spot you found it
Happy hunting
