This is similar to a Challenge Series in the Minneapolis MN area called: Frequent Geocaching Miles Challenge (Gold, Silver, Diamond, Platinum, and Million Miler). THANKS to Nsaj for the concept.
DTF = Distance to Finds. Find the DISTANCE TO FINDS on your Statistics Page.
Every time you log a Cache a statistic is generated on the distance from your home location to that cache. The Statistics page keeps track of that for you and you can see your DTF based upon 12 Ranges of Distance.
To CLAIM A SMILEY for the TREKKER CHALLENGE you must log a total of 425,000 miles. This is a good goal for the ultimate cacher.
HOW TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS:
1) You may not use the category < 1mi. The other 11 ranges may be used.
2) Multiple the lower number of the range by the number of caches found in that range.
Example: 10 mi to 25 mi. Use the 10 as the multiplier.
500 mi to 1000 mi. Use the 500 as the multiplier
WHEN YOU LOG A FIND ON THIS CACHE you must include a picture your DISTANCE TO FINDS.
Also, make up a Chart to show your multiplication and total distance. You do not have to list any caches since you are using all your caches to meet this challenge.
Here’s an example of how to CHART this with your FIND LOG. Include a picture of DTF from your statistics page.
1 mi to 10 mi 95 Caches x 1 = 95
10 mi to 25 mi 395 x 10 = 3590
25 mi to 50 mi 416 x 25 = 10,400
50 mi to 100 mi 315 x 50 = 15,750
100 mi to 250 mi 207 x 100 = 20,700
250 mi to 500 mi 141 x 250 = 35,250
500 mi to 1000 mi 514 x 500 = 257,000
1000 mi to 2500 mi 91 x 1000 = 91,000
TOTAL DTF MILES = 434,145
The cache is tethered to a wire. Remove cap and use a TOTT to remove the LOG and SIGN. Do not try to disconnect the container. This cache IS difficult to FIND. The D/T for the cache is based upon the Challenge. Report damage or wet contents. Park along the shoulder and use your flashers.
YOU MAY SIGN THE LOG at any time and make a note, but in order to get your smiley face, you must complete the Challenge and show proof of your finds. Anyone Logging a FIND and having an error in their List will be notified to make a correction or their LOG will be deleted.
