I have been having a good caching year so far, and it looks like it will be my most finds in a year. So in celebration of this red letter event, I created a letterbox cache!
A letterbox traditionally contains a stamp and a log book. You are invited to a sign the log and then add your own stamp. Thumbprints can be used instead. If by chance the ink pad does not work in the cold, just use a washable crayola marker on your finger. All cachers should carry one!
By letterboxing, you join a sport established 150 years ago in England! The camouflaged container holds a self inking stamp and a log book. It is traditional to sign the log and then add your own unique stamp. Place our stamp in your own log book. Rememeber the original stamp stays with the cache.
