A jetty is any of a variety of structures used in river, dock, and maritime works that are generally carried out in pairs from river banks.

An isthmus is a narrow strip of land connecting two larger land areas, usually with water on either side

 Yes, there is a road of sorts, on the jetty. It's not paved.... it's bumpy, it's narrow.

And it's difficult to get turned around.

I recommend you leave the 4 wheels in the parking lot, and enjoy the sights on the short hike to GZ.

Look sharp...there are crab bait-stealing seals, sky-diving pelicans, sleek river otters, and other neat stuff to oggle.
