Geocache Description:

Two-stage projection multi, simple enough for for the oxygen-starved.  Bring your own pencil.

As the saying goes: Every black cloud trail has a cache at the top.  Posted coordinates are for a cairn at the turn point from the ascent to the ridge trail.  Final is MM yards ENE of the cairn, in a small rock shelter.  There are MM months in a year.

The magnetic declination at this location is about 9 degrees east.  For a 60 deg true heading, your compass needle will point to 69 deg, almost exactly ENE on a 16 point compass.

Be prepared for high-altitude hiking, exposure, etc.  Cache elevation = 4125 m, 13530 ft.  Be sure to visit the other caches along the ridge to Mt Elbert now that you’ve made the climb.
