Geocache Description:

Unfortunatelly we had to archive our Traditional Cache at this beautiful old church in Vodice. But as we still want to show it to you, we placed a new Multi Cache starting at the church, but the Final is now a bit more outside of the city center, where you hopefully have less problems with muggles. It's only one Stage at the church and a short walk to the Final.

Vodice was first mentioned in 1402 relating to the start of construction of St. Cross' church (Sveti Križ) although it was founded already in the Roman times as Arausa. Its name derives from the word meaning water sources which supplied the whole area.

The construction was finished in 1421 in the middle of a former graveyard but today, the church is located in the middle of the city center.

On the big wooden cross at the church's wall left of the main entrance, there are two year dates to be seen. Take the top, earlyer year as ABCD.

With these four digits you can calculate the Final coordinates. They are:
N 43° 45.(D-B)(D)(B-A) E 015° 46.(C-A)(B)(D-B)

Update 06/09/2015: Unfortunatelly the wodden cross was dismanteled for restoration. Meanwhile you can find the final in 279m bearing 203.5 degrees.

Mind the muggles, during summer there are hundreds of people on the steets nearly every time.

If you have an andoid smartphone, you can use cachelab to calculate the final coordinates.
