[LT] XX amžiaus 9-ajame dešimtmetyje Kalniečių mikrorajone įrengta aikštė buvo reprezentacinė tuometinės statybos gyvenamojo rajono viešoji erdvė ne tik Kaune, bet ir Lietuvoje. Efektingas jos „šokantis fonatnas“ buvo svarbus traukos objektas ir dieną, ir spalvotai apšviestas vakare. Čečėnijos vardu pavadinta aikštė kurį laiką plytėjo apleista, todėl buvo atgrasi ir funkcionavo vien kaip tranzitinė teritorija.
2009 metais pradėta aikštės rekonstrukcija. 2011-11-25 dieną aikštė įspūdingu renginiu buvo vėl atverta visuomenei.
