“A Stroke of Good Fortune” is the title of one of Miss O’Connors short stories found in the short story collection called “A Good Man is Hard to Find”. I liked that title for this cache. A good cache is hard to find too. But good fortune! This one should be easy to find.
Andalusia is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm and Sunday 2pm to 4pm Gates are closed all other times. You can not enter except during regular hours. .
Please park only in the parking lot at the rear of the main house and check in with the staff there before proceeding to the trail. There is a fee to enter the house and tours are available
This cache is located along the Lower Tobler Creek Nature Trail on Andalusia Farm, former home to Flannery O’Connor and her mother Regina Cline O'Connor. It now belongs to Georgia College and State University and is visited by fans of Miss O’Connor, scholars, students using the Dr. Bernard Outdoor Learning Center and nature lovers. Take time to walk the trail. The woods are home to many species of birds and other wildlife.
