Even deeper into the Morning Star creek valley lies this steam engine used to power the crusher that you can see the remnants of here. This crusher was used to process the ore from one of the largest mines on the Morning Star creek, which, like most of the workings in the Donelly Creek region, only had a fairly short working life to be soon forgotten and overtaken by the forest.
The walk in here is a fairly straightforward 40 minute walk, with some small hills, however I would suggest wearing decent walking footwear, bringing enough drinking water, paying attention to the prevailing weather conditions and keeping an eye out for our wriggly bitey friends.
To get to the start of the walking track for this and the Wheely Big cache (GC5AXB5) will require a 4wd, with most of the Donelly Creek track to be of an easy standard of track that most AWDs and 4WDs can cope with. You are looking for a magnetic container hidden somewhere in the old machinery
