Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Blue Hills

The Blue Hills series will have a variety of cache sizes, terrain and difficulties. These caches are not set up as a powertrail. Caches are meant to remain at the GZ. You should be able to retrieve "Most" logs without removing the cache.

Depending on your preferred caching style; you can filter caches by size, difficulty, or terrain and just go for those.

Any new information or updates about this series will be posted on the BH01 - Blue Hills cache page.

Cache updates as of 10/11/14. Series updates at the bottom of page.
Looking for even more of a challenge then check out these Level 5 Difficulty Caches: BH90, BH204 Version 2.0, and BH334.
There is one Level 5 Terrain Cache BH329 Super Evil White Pine. Leave the boat at home it will not help you here.

Many Traditional caches out there and for a Well-Rounded Day there are also:
3 - Multicache
3- Night Cache
3 - Letterbox Caches
3- Mystery Caches
6- Challenge Caches
Devils Trout Pond - A Real Geo-Adventure. Not part of the series but I really enjoyed this one.
More to come.

Guidelines and Suggestions

1. All cache logs must be signed to count as found.

2. Make sure caches are placed back for future geocachers.

3. Take the extra time to place lids back properly.

4. Bring along Tools of the Trade for log or cache retrieval.

5. It is always helpful to bring along extra geocaching supplies.

6. Be Safe.

7. MOST IMPORTANTLY, Have fun! We hope you enjoy this series.

Updates and New Info

4/15/15 I went through and checked all caches with at least 2 DNF's . Caches are there and ready to be found.

10/11/14 The series loop has been completed. I will be adding more to the series in small sections. There are some interesting areas I have yet to explore for cache placements. Enjoy.

9/26/14 I added hints to BH90 and BH204 and made them premium caches. Before anymore caches are published to the run I will be adding in BHXXX - Challenge Caches. Approximately 5-6 of them. I have 2 more night caches planned, 1 more letterbox and a couple more 5 difficulty caches and maybe a few 5 terrain.

9/8/14 GPS accuracy depends on many things. The weather when they are placed and the weather when they are found. On average the GPS accuracy on an Oregon 600 with leaves on the trees while I have been placing the BH Series is around 12 to 16 feet so if you are looking and your GPS is at 12 -16 foot accuracy there is 30 feet. Experienced geocachers know coords under 30 are very acceptable. Any Geocacher that gives me coords in their first log will get a reference point with their name on it for that cache. All help is appreciated to help the geocaching experience. It is a lot of work to place these for the geocaching community.

8/26/14 Update: Most caches are on the right side of the road if you follow the sequence in order. If a cache GZ is close to the road but the cache is on the opposite side it is noted in some way in the hint.
