Geocache Description:

Cache is not at the listed coordinates!

This cache is a Letterbox Hybrid.  It is intended to promote the diversity of geocache container types in the area.  My interpretation of a traditional Letterbox Hybrid is a cross between a Multi-Cache and a Puzzle Cache that you solve in the field.  The stamp is not SWAG, please leave it for others to use.

Letterboxing is another form of treasure hunting that uses clues to direct hunters to a hidden container. Each letterbox contains a stamp that is the signature for that box. Most letterboxers have their own personal stamps and personal logbooks. They stamp the letterbox logbook with their personal stamp, and use the stamp contained in the letterbox to "sign" their personal logbook.

Letterbox hybrids are a mixture of a letterbox and a geocache. They contain a stamp that stays with the box, conform to the guidelines for geocaches, involving GPS use as an integral part of the hunt, and contain a logbook.

History of The Lost Letterbox:

I have so many letters to mail.  I need to find the letterbox.

Many years ago, long before email and texting, a letterbox was brought to Guam and set up for use by southern residents.  But, alas, the gentleman charged with installing the letterbox was unfamiliar with island locations.  He was in a rush as he had many other islands to visit to install letterboxes.  In his hurry to complete the job and move on, he failed to identify the box with the customary flag and markings.  Thinking his job was done, he left island with few people knowing the location of the letterbox.

You are charged with locating the letterbox and dropping or picking up any mail.  Begin your search at the posted coordinates and follow directions as they are listed.

Start at the posted coordinates.  Follow the clues as listed and they will lead you right to the letterbox!

1 - Begin your travels at the posted coordinates.  At this point, you may want to get a drink to quench your thirst before you begin your search.

2 - Proceed North on the paved trail. If you are headed in the right direction, the trail will veer towards the East. If not, then turn around and go the other way. 3 - As you near the end of the trail, you will see two colored multi-directional signs. The Letterbox was last seen between these signs, near some fencing, third from the end. 4 - Park safely off the trail. This can be a busy area so take care with children. 5 - Remember, this letterbox was set up for southern residents so stay on the South side of the trail. After you locate the Letterbox and check for mail, please place it carefully back so others may enjoy the search. PLEASE LEAVE THE STAMP WITH THE LOG SHEET!
