Rating the difficulty of most challenges is tricky and this is no exception. The rating is based on the average difficulty for earthcaches within 100 miles of my house plus a bit for the task of finding 5 in a day.
The terrain rating is possibly slightly high as the cache is technically a drive by as the track it's on is a byway open to all traffic. However, as if often the case with these tracks, it is suffering in a few places from people driving on it. If you decide to drive you will need a 4wd with reasonable ground clearance. If you rip off the underside of your car I'm not responsible! And there's nowhere to turn round so if you can't continue you'll just have to reverse out. Probably best to just park at one end and walk!
