Scroggs Frogs Traditional Cache

Named for the local elementary school Mary Scroggs in Southern Village just off the trail from the cache.
Plastic medium ammo case placed just off of the scenic Fan Branch Trail maintained by the Town of Chapel Hill just down the hill from Mary Scroggs Elementary School. Mary Scroggs (1921-2007) served on the school board from 1961 until 1977 and was is known for her work toward desegregation as well as for the construction of several schools at a time when schools were extremely overcrowded. Parking is available at the Southern Community Park, Southern Village Park and Ride Lot, or on the streets in Southern Village. Closest parking is along Aberdeen Drive & Graylyn Drive with the trail crossing Abredeen.
