Geocache Description:

This is the second cache that I have hidden, and I want to thank DPL for the amazing opportunity to participate in this exciting series. Growing up, I was a bookworm and loved trips to the library. As I got older, I added many books to my collection and hope that others will be as excited as I am for this series. I hope that as you participate in this series, you will take some time and read a book or two or three...

DPL

This cache is located at the Virginia Village Library.
This location's hours can also be found here: HERE

Your adventure starts at the posted coordinates...
At the posted coordinates, you will find a Masonic Plaque.
A = What are the last 3 digits of the year?
B = How many letters are on the top two lines?
C = How many letters are on the fourth line (don't count the "&" symbol)?
D = What is the date (day)?
E = What is the date (month)? Ex: August = 8
F = How many letters are on the third line?

Now that you have A through F, you can advance to the next stage. In the entryway of the library, you will find an abacus on a beautiful piece of art. In the picture above the abacus is a mythical creature. Go find this creature in the library. Once you have found this beast, write down the person's Last Name that it bears. This will equal G.

Now with A through G in hand, you can complete this journey. Go back to the entryway artwork, and get ready to use the abacus... hope you know how to use these things!
Just kidding, I am not that mean...

H is the section this geocache can be found. Here is a hint, it used to be in the REF section, but updates to the library required it to move. There will still be a REF sticker on it. Looking at the items on the artwork's table, if there is a PEAR, the final is located in FICTION. If there is an APPLE, the final is located in NON-FICTION. If there is a BANANA, the final is located in MAGAZINES.

Now what does all this mean? Here we go!
Line One = (A-B-C-D-E).(F)
Line Two = G
Section = H

This cache series would not be possible without the enthusiastic and supportive help of the staff at the Denver Public Library. Be sure to visit the other geocaches in this series and collect the special code at each final for future surprises. A bookmark of the other caches in this series can be found HERE.
