Geocache Description:

Another cache along the 2nd Lake Loop Trail.

Follow the 2nd Lake Loop Trail in either direction to pick up this cache and others.  This container might be considered a small small or a large micro.  There is a pencil available and room for small tradiing items like pins or pathtags.

Along the trail, one can see so much of the forces of nature.  On our tour around the lake, we spotted this maybe not so unique item close to the shore.  You can see evidence of beaver action long ago.  Here, it looks like the beaver failed to take down the tree initially.  One side of the tree continued to grow, only to die later.  There is other evidence of the beaver nearby as well.  Cache is hanging in a small sub-alpine balsam tree about three metres from the treeline.  The beaver action lies between the cache and the shore.  Please do not remove cache from tree.
