A MURAL inspired by Chronicle historian Brian Curzon was jointly unveiled by the mayors of Northwich and Vale Royal on Monday 17th July 2006.
The mural was provided by Development of The Arts In Northwich with a grant from the National Lottery to mark both Archaeology Week and DAN's hugely successful Roman project.
The mural, which shows a group of typical Romans and Britains, has been erected on a wall which was built to block the entrance to a disused bus shelter on Chester Road, Castle.
It has been specially designed so that people passing by can pause to remember that the Romans once lived on Castle. They can make up their own mind if they think the Romans are waiting for a bus or have returned for a moment to see the place where they once lived.
The mural is the work of local artist and historical illustrator Mike Troy of Hartford.
This geocache is placed so that others can see this magnificant mural!
