Geocache Description:

So two of our favorite cachers have hit a milestone.  AKKGeohound and KleeKiacacher congratulations on 2000 finds!  But we can't forget to include their caching goehounds, Koyuk and Rohn!  These two geohounds are always up for caching.  Many people assume they are baby huskies, but they are not.  They are a breed of dog called Alaskan Klee Kai.

Here are some interesting facts about Alaskan Klee Kais:

*  Alaskan Klee Kais, AKK for short, were developed between the early 1970's - 1988 by Linda S. Spurlin in Wasilla, Alaska.  They were created to be a companion sized dog that looks like the Alaskan Husky.  She bred them privately, then released them to the general public in 1988.  It wasn't until 1995 that Alaskan Klee Kai were officially recognized by the American Rare Breed Association.  And in 1997 the United Kennel Club finally recognized them.

*  There are 3 different varieties of Alaskan Klee Kai: toy, miniature, and standard.  They are classified as:

Toy - up to 13" in height, weighing up to 9 lbs.

Miniature - over 13" and up to 15" in height, weighing 9 lbs. up to 14 lbs. 15.9 oz.

Standard - over 15" and up to 17" in height, weighing 15 lbs. up to 17 lbs.

*  There are 3 different color variations in Alaskan Klee Kai: black & white, gray & white, and red & white.  Only recently were solid white AKK recognized by the UKC, but none have been shown competitively.

*  Alaskan Klee Kai are highly intelligent (just ask Koyuk) and curious.  They do well in obedience classes as well as agility training.  They are also very active dogs, and make excellent geohounds!

So use this information to get the coords for the cache.

North:  Take the year AKK were publicly available and divide it by the maximum height of a toy variety.  Take that number and subtract it from the last three digits of the given North coords.

West:  Take  the year AKK were recognized by UKC and divide it by the maximum height of a miniature variety.  Take that number and subtract it from the last three digits of the given West coords.

UPDATE 03/23/2019: **New final location** Once you arrive at the calculated coordinates follow a projection 59' @ 147 degrees.
